Dr. Jeffrey Copeland
DDS, MAGD
Dr. Copeland was raised and attended high school in nearby Libertyville. He then continued to the University of Kansas and the University of Illinois-Chicago where he received his BS in biology with honors and his DDS. At UIC, he received both the Samuel Cascio and Ted Rosen awards for excellence in dental problem solving and academics. After dental school, Dr. Copeland began his dental career at HWFDC.
Dr. Rachel Goldberg
DMD
Dr. Rachel Goldberg was born and raised in nearby Kildeer. After skipping three grades in elementary school, she completed her high school education at 15 years old. Next, she received her Bachelors of Science degree, graduating magna cum laude, from Benedictine University at the age of 19. She completed her education by receiving her dental degree at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Giancarlo Cecchini
DMD
Dr. Cecchini’s foundation for his practice philosophy is a dedication to his patients’ needs and desires through exceptional comprehensive oral healthcare. His patient-centered approach allows each patient to participate in creating a personalized treatment plan that takes into consideration individual circumstances and preferences. He believes each patient is unique and deserves the most individualized care and experience available.
Dr. Majd Alsaleh
DDS
Dr. Majd Alsaleh graduated from dental school in 2000. After earning her dental degree, Dr. Alsaleh also earned her master’s degree and completed two advanced postdoctoral degree programs at NYU and Marquette University.
Dr. Beena Skaria
DDS
Dr. Beena Skaria, DDS, graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She continued her education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and graduated with honors in endodontics. She attended residency at Wichita State University’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Wichita, KS.
Dr. John C. Edgar
DDS (Retired)
Dr. John C. Edgar retired from practicing dentistry in October of 2017. He enjoyed the ability to create smiles and long-lasting relationships with patients over his nearly 40 year career.
Dr. Shaun Varghese
DDS, MS (Orthodontist)
Dr. Shaun Varghese is a specialist in the field of Orthodontics. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he received his Doctorate in Dentistry from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI. While attending Marquette, he was elected to the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.
Dr. Lorelei Grise
DDS, MS (Periodontist)
Dr. Lorelei Grise is a specialist in the field of Periodontics. After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI. Dr. Grise received her Doctorate in Dentistry from Loyola University of Chicago. Following dental school, she then received her Master’s Degree and certificate in Periodontics from Loyola University of Chicago.

This dentistry is wonderful. Not only do they offer the fastest and easiest experience for dentist examinations with two children at the same time with separate technicians. They offer very friendly service. My wife and I cannot recommend them enough.

I had a great experience at Hawthorn Woods Family Dental Care. All the staff and Dr. Copeland were all great. They were able to get me in quickly as well. The office is very clean and nice. I would highly recommend the dental practice.
I had a cavity filled. The staff was friendly, efficient and professional, and the procedure was quick and painless. The was my first visit to the practice after over 15 years with another dentist and I am glad that I made the change.
Best dental experience I've ever had. Dr. Copeland does great work and is honest. I cannot stress enough how much that meant to me after the string of poor experiences I've had at other offices. And the hygienist Cindy provided the most thorough cleaning I've ever had. They aren't even in my dental network but well worth the out-of-pocket expense. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
As a long time patient of Dr. Grise' she has always provided excellent care. Not only is she outstanding at what she does she also manages to treat her patients with respect and a personal touch that makes you feel like family. I would give Dr. Copeland, Mickey, and Marisela (and the rest of the staff) 10 stars if I could. Im extremely scared of the dentist because of a past experience and they made everything so easy and extremely comfortable. They couldn’t have been nicer and more gentle and it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dentist before.
I could not be more happy with this office. It is like family, they are always so good to us. They remind us of future appointments and they are always so nice. Both of my children go here too and have great teeth! You will love them too!
